Archertown

Archertown was founded after a chance meeting between Kyle Archer and Natalie Archer (then Natalie Distler) in a New York City recording studio. The couple started performing as a duo and signed their first production deal shortly thereafter. During this time Natalie was also busy with her career as an actress, most notably starring on the hit FX television series Rescue Me alongside Denis Leary for seven years.

After the series came to an end, the duo signed a publishing deal as a writing team and decided to make the move to Nashville to further pursue their music career. Their original songs have been featured on numerous television shows including the series Nashville.

Life sometimes doesn’t go as planned, and after Natalie was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, Kyle and Natalie decided to leave Nashville for a fresh start and to be closer to family in Montana. They took their first hiatus from music, taking time to heal and move forward with a different future than they had planned for themselves.

It wasn’t until they found out they were expecting their son, something they were told might never be possible, that they were inspired to start writing and playing music again. As luck may have it, Kyle’s best friend from college and old bandmate, John Kaye, had recently moved to Montana with his family as well, and the three began playing as a trio locally. Archertown has performed at Under The Big Sky Fest and most recently opened up for the band Mi

dland.

With new recordings under their belt, they are excited to be releasing more new music soon!

Stick and String

Based in Montana’s Flathead Valley, Stick and String serve up a tapestry of originals and classic covers roaming around the genre fields of folk, Americana, rock, country, and Irish/Scottish. Fun and beautiful, their live show reminds us that music belongs to us all and sets us right when the world’s feeling wrong.

Lead vocalist and songwriter, Brett Holmquist, grew up in Big Sandy, MT with ears full of ABBA and the Oak Ridge Boys and whatever the country radio station had to say. Ever inspired by the beauty of his homeland, Brett’s music reflects his humble roots and invites listeners to lean in, love big, and give more than you take.

Hailing from upstate New York but residing (from time to time) inside her fiddle, Karen Pogorzelski, fuses trad tunes in, through, and around the ever expanding sound of Stick and String. Fascinated by banjos, passionate about all things nature, and ready to stick her beautiful string music right into your heart, Karen brings the goods, every time.
