Oglala Lakota Tipi Teachings
Tony will share Oglala Lakota traditions involved in setting up and using a tipi. During this class we will erect a Sioux-style tipi, which we will then use the following day as our shelter for the next program. Tony says, “every part of the tipi has meaning. The poles, the pins, the hole at the top. It’s not just a house, it’s a place for family.”
This will be a participatory, hands-on class aimed at the learning styles of adults. Pre-registration required, but the program is FREE!
Location: Trumbull Canyon Camp at F.H. Stoltze Land and Lumber Company. Friday June 10, 11am to 3pm. Pre-registration required, click here to register (Summer 2022 Season).
Leadership Teachings of Crazy Horse
Through deep study and reflection, Tony has identified certain key teachings that legendary Lakota leader Crazy Horse used to such powerful effect during his life. Over the course of two days that will include both fireside storytelling and contemplative time in nature, Tony will introduce participants to his understanding of Crazy Horse’s leadership teachings.
