Camp takes place at our new site near Whitefish
July 13-17, 2020
Monday-Friday, 9a-3p daily
North Valley Music School and Ravenwood have teamed up to create this amazing camp! Built on the routines of nature connection Ravenwood is known for, we’ll be infusing high level music instruction into our focused skill time each day. Creativity will abound and the birds won’t be the only ones making songs out in the woods at Ravenwood this summer.
There are three music sections to choose from, each with a specific focus. All sections will spend the first two hours and the last hour of the day together for group activities, games, songs, crafts, wilderness skills, stories, and nature connection time. The middle of each day will be a breakout time for music creation and instruction for each section.
(beginners welcome in all sections)
Strings with Karen Pogorzelski–from Irish fiddle to classical to nature inspired improv, this group will explore a wide range of music and gain plenty of skills along the way! All classical stringed instruments welcome (must provide own instrument)
Guitar and Songwriting with Brett Holmquist–learning to listen is key to any musicians journey and naturalist mentor, Brett Holmquist, will help his young students expand their guitar and awareness skills and find their creative voice in song all week long! Campers must provide own guitar (no ukuleles please)
The true cost of this session is $395, and you can follow this link to see your income-based scholarship level if you need to reduce costs.
